Robin van Persie looking to leave United this summer

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie is looking for a quick ext from Old Trafford this summer with Juventus waiting in the wings.

According to talkSPORT, the Dutch forward's agent has already held preliminary discussions with Juventus over a potential move at the end of the season.

Van Persie was unhappy following the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson - part of the reason he joined the Old Trafford club was the presence of the legendary boss.

He's struggled with injury this season, and was critical of the tactics employed by David Moyes after the Champions League loss to Olympiakos last month.

The 30-year-old striker joined United from Arsenal in the summer of 2012, and fired the club to the Premier League title in Ferguson's final season in charge.

But he's endured a difficult second season, and with United set to undergo a major clear out at the end of the campaign, he could be let go for the right price.

Juventus are keen on the striker - they were also interested before he left Arsenal for United in 2012 - and the report claims Van Persie's agent has sounded out their interest with the summer looming.

Reports earlier today suggested the former-Gunners captain may have a get-out clause in his United contract should the club fail to qualify for the top four.
