Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez would appear to favour his club making a move for Juventus midfielder and Manchester United target Arturo Vidal.
26-year-old Vidal - who joined the reigning Serie A champions from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011 - is enjoying a hugely impressive season for Juventus, with the player subsequently being linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid as well as Barca.
"Arturo would be perfect for us. We know each other well, we are team-mates in
the national team and he is the prototype of the player we would need," Sanchez told Tuttosport in an interview that was quoted by talkSPORT.
"I would be happy if the club decided to buy him."
Vidal - who has made 26 appearances in Serie A this season, notching 11 goals in the process and is rated at around the £40 million mark - certainly appears to be in demand, but whether indeed he will move at all with Juventus so dominant domestically remains to be seen.
If he were to depart Turin, you have to think that Manchester United could trail behind the likes of Barcelona and Real in the pecking order for his services.
Whilst the Red Devils' reputation and standing globally might remain enormous, their struggles in the Premier League this season - they are currently sixth despite Saturday's 3-0 victory over West Brom - will surely result in the club failing to secure Champions League qualification.
This is something that - bar an unprecedented late collapse in La Liga - you would imagine both Barcelona and Real will indeed be able to offer Vidal and it would be very difficult to imagine a player of such quality giving up a place in Europe's elite competition - even if it was just for a solitary season.
