According to league sources, the Baltimore Ravens have been successful in tying down Eugene Monroe to a new long-term deal.

Monroe was the franchise's top free agent priority and they will be happy to have tied up the deal so early.

The new deal is worth $37.5 million over five-years, with $19 million guaranteed for the left tackle.

Monroe was tagged as the number two free agent o'n Around The League''s list of top 100 free agency players and many other teams were rumored to be interested.

But the Ravens have managed to keep hold of their man, who started 11 games for the team in his first year in Baltimore after arriving last October via a trade.

Monroe was a first round draft pick back in 2009 when the Jacksonville Jaguars took him number eight overall.
