LeBron James tribute tattoo is just awful

A LeBron James fan achieved his ambition this week when he was able to show his idol an enormous tattoo he had inked in tribute to the Miami Heat superstar. LeBron was suitably impressed by the design, although it’s rather a bit garish for our tastes.

LeBron shared an image on his official Instagram account posing cross-armed with said fan, who had visited The Juice Spot - a store owned by the wife of the NBA MVP - in the hope of meeting his hero.

This post accompanied the image: “This dude came into the @thejuicespot with his lady today. Got him some juices and showed me this while he was at it. Had to take a flick with him #WOW #WitnessHistory #StriveForGreatness.”

LeBron may be a fan of the tribute ink, but is not something that has gone down particularly well at GMS Towers. Tattoos are fine by us, but this one goes to the next level gaudiness with angel wings framing a Christ-like LeBron.

The Heat man does, of course, have a fair share of his own ink, with his arms and the majority of his torso covered in rather more tasteful designs than the fan in question.
