Jon Beason is returning to the New York Giants if reports are to be believed.
First reported by NFL Insider Aditi Kinkhabwala, the two sides have agreed a new deal according to a person close to the negotiations.
Beason tested the market after a year with the Giants but looks set to return to the franchise for the 2014 season.
The move comes after the Giants tied up fellow free agents safety Steve Brown and kicker Josh Brown earlier Wednesday, and continues a busy early part of free agency for them.
Retaining the services of the three-time Pro Bowler is sure to go down well with Giants fans after Beason racked up 104 tackles and one interception last time round.
As yet terms are yet to be announced but after acquiring Beason via a trade with the Carolina Panthers last season he can expect an improved deal.
Beason actually represented himself during negotiations, proving to Ndamukong Suh that it is possible.
