The world has gone selfie-mad since Ellen DeGeneres rounded up a group of her A-list friends at the Oscars and took the most-tweeted snap of all time.

In the aftermath of the talk-show host's picture at the Oscars there were of course plenty of parodies and imitators.

Now one college baseball team collegiate summer team in the Northwoods League, has taken the craze one-step further. The Kalamazoo Growlers have confirmed that they will wear a jersey covered in pictures of their own fans.

Supporters of the team have been urged to upload their selfless to the Growlers' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

The tribute to the fans will take centre-stage on 'Salute to Selfie Night' - pictures have to be submitted by April 1 and will be worn in the game against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
