Cleveland Browns in free agency fail

Football News

The NFL free agency period continued to kick into gear today with a number of high profile players finding homes with other teams. NFL front offices around the country have been working hard to secure their targets and to keep their wish list secret. Everyone it seems, apart from the Cleveland Browns.

A picture was posted on twitter which appears to show a white board full of the Cleveland Browns' free agents target. The picture was taken when Browns GM Ray Farmar appeared to address the media.

The list includes the usual suspects that you might expect: Darrelle Revis tops the list along with Julian Edelman and Golden Tate. However there is a line drawn through Alterraun Verner's name, after he made his move to Tampa Bay earlier.

The leak will most likely not hurt the Browns too much, as they had been widely reported to be interested in most of the players on the board anyway. However, prospective Browns players may think twice about signing for an organization that have had such a lapse in security.

Either way it is not the best of starts for the Browns to the 2014 NFL year.
