Whatever the conference, be it the Missouri Valley Conference or the Big East, it's best player will end up being Creighton Bluejays forward Doug McDermott.

The senior has made history by being the unanimous selection for the Big East Player of the Year, which comes after he won the same the same award in the MVC just a year ago.

McDermott has stopped their as he has been named the Sporting News Player of the Year for 2014 as well.

There is no wonder he was named as the Big East's Player of the Season after receiving the weekly award eight times during the campaign.

His senior season has been impressive to say the least, as the 6 foot 8 inch player averaged 26.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, leading Creighton to a second-place finish in their first season in the Big East.

In his career, McDermott is the seventh-leading scorer in NCAA history with 3,011 points
