Blake Griffin scoring smashes into the record books

Blake Griffin may only be in his fourth year as an NBA star, but his place in history is already sealed.

After Monday nights win against the Golden State Warriors Griffin entered the record books as being one of only three players in NBA history to get 6,000 points 3,000 rebound and 1,000 assists within four season.

All of that and also keeping his shooting percentage at 50.0 or higher… An incredible feat.

So incredibly in fact that only two other people have done it. Charles Barkley and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are the only players, now with Griffin, to hold his milestone.

Comparisons of course are being made between Griffin, Barkley and Abdul-Jabbar but as LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers pointed out: "If three guys could be more different those three… there is not anything that is similar about any of them. Which is amazing and it’s another lesson that you can get things and do things similar in different ways."

Griffin is still only 24 and is sure to have plenty more time to smash more records. The numbers while impressive, still don't as much justice to how good a player and athlete Griffin is and has the potential to become.
