All 20 Premier League clubs know that to some extent they will have to deal with injuries to key players at difficult times during a marathon campaign, but when results go against you not having your most prized assets on the treatment table can be particularly difficult to take.

Arsenal fans in particular are facing up to the prospect of being without a string of their top stars at the business end of the campaign, with Theo Walcott joined by Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere in a worryingly long list of sidelined stars.

The Gunners are far from alone though, with at some point close to every team forced to stretch their 25-man squads to the limit in pursuit of precious Premier League points.

With that in mind GMS has decided to look in-depth at 15 stars who have been out through injury or suspension at crucial times and the effect of that absence on their respective clubs.
