Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp could make a move for Arsenal starlet Serge Gnabry this summer, as he looks to strengthen his team following the scheduled departure of Bayern Munich-bound striker Robert Lewandowski.

Gnabry, 18, has cemented his status as one of the Premier League's most promising young players this season. The Germany Under-19 international was nominated for the 2013 Golden Boy Award thanks to his performances at the start of the campaign, while Arsenal rewarded his fine form with a new five-year contract.

But, according to, Borussia Dortmund may still test Arsenal's resolve by making an offer for the teenager during the summer transfer market. Klopp's side are expected to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals next week, but they have disappointed in the Bundesliga and currently find themselves a massive 20 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich with 10 matches left to play.

Subsequently, Klopp is looking at potential players to revitalise his squad and make them competitive for the 2014/15 Bundesliga campaign - and the highly-rated German coach has added Gnabry to his shortlist of potential summer signings.

However, the chances of a transfer being completed this summer appear slim, with Gnabry happy at the Emirates Stadium and contracted to the club until 2018.
