Liverpool target Jeremy Menez has revealed he does not know if he will be at current side Paris Saint-Germain next season.
The Frenchman, who moved back to his homeland in 2011 after a spell in Italy with Roma, is out of contract in the summer.
Menez has been used sparingly this season as PSG manager Laurent Blanc has often opted to play Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi on either side of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The attacking midfielder has started just six Ligue 1 games this season which has raised question marks over Menez’s long-term future at Parc des Princes.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was linked with making a move for Menez in January - but was unable to conclude a deal for the 26-year-old.
However the Northern Irishman could land his man in the summer if Menez is not offered a deal to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
Menez, who is yet to agree terms with the Ligue 1 champions, said on his future: "We talked about an extension, but it was not sorted out.
"I have three months remaining on my contract at PSG, we will see what will happen at the end of the season."
Liverpool will have to beat off competition from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen if they are going to have any chance of landing Menez.
