Premier League: Top 10 managers we would love to see (1)

Football News

After another round of entertaining fixtures in the Premier League this weekend, the scrutiny already surrounding two managers in particular intensified rather dramatically.

Former Everton favourite David Moyes, who had already received a plethora of criticism from players and fans alike during what has been a really difficult season for Manchester United, looked on in horror as the defending Premier League champions were thumped 3-0 by old rivals Liverpool on their own turf.

While the Manchester United bigwigs have already given indications that Moyes remains the right man for the job in their eyes, another humiliating result must surely have placed even the smallest of question marks over his Old Trafford future.

After that on what was a big Sunday of football in the English top-flight, Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood - appointed on an 18-month contract following the departure of Andre Villas-Boas - also suffered another blow after Arsenal left White Hart Lane with a 1-0 victory from the season's final North London derby.

Such a result appears to have done preciously little to Sherwood's hopes of staying in the hotseat beyond the summer, particularly given that that particular loss was preceded by emphatic defeats to Chelsea and Benfica.

With that aforementioned duo seemingly on the brink and the likes of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger presumably headed towards the final few seasons of his Gunners managerial career, here at GMS Towers we thought we would list the names of 10 managers we would like to see come to the Premier League.

Please bear in mind that this list consists of managers that have yet to be tested in the Premier League, bosses who have previously managed at that level but are not at this particular moment and finally current/retired players who we would like to see make the transition into management.

Take a look at our selections and, as ever, please feel free to leave your thoughts and opinions in the comment box provided below.

What do you make of our choices? Any you particularly agree/disagree with? Who would you like to see managing in the Premier League?
