WWE takes shots at CM Punk

It is starting to look more and more like CM Punk's absence from the WWE is not a work on the part of the company and that he really won't return in time for WrestleMania or at all, much to the chagrin of wrestling fans worldwide.

Punk appeared on The Talking Dead on Sunday and told co-panellist Yvette Brown that he had become a “totally new person", the strongest hint yet that the 35-year old won't be returning.

And it seems that the WWE have noticed this and have started taking pot shots at the AWOL star.

According to WrestlingInc.com, when Triple H was talking to Daniel Bryan he spoke a line about "not taking your ball and going home" it seems like this was a direct fire at Punk and his walking out of the business.

Also during Monday night's edition of Raw, there was no footage of any of CM Punk's matches against The Undertaker in the video package that Paul Heyman presented, showing Taker's recent WrestleMania matches against people Brock Lesnar has dominated, of which Punk was one.

Ever since the Royal Rumble way back in January, we have been wondering if this was all part of an elaborate ruse and we'd be treated to a big "shocking" return at WrestlMania XXX.

But with the company's flagship event only two weeks away, the signs aren't good.

Triple H vs CM Punk would be a great fight if it was ever to happen, but it seems that what both parties are saying are completely true and not a fabrication.

The disdain the two have for each other is as true as can be, and this looks like it will only be the start of the WWE trying to smear Punk's name.
