As DeSean Jackson's position with the Philadelphia Eagles continues to remain unclear, the Pro Bowl receiver is taking solace in the words of a hip-hop legend.

With media outlets claiming the Eagles are listening to offers for the player, and Jackson himself reportedly voicing concern with the uncertainty surrounding the situation, he took to social media today clearly inspired by the words of Tupac.

Taking to Instagram, the 27-year old posted a picture of the rapper which contained the following quote:

"The most expensive thing in the world is trust. It can take years to earn & just a matter of seconds to lose."

Attaching the words "Keep ya head!! Even when they think u down!! Be there b4."

Some may construe this move as a thinly veiled swipe at the franchise which has been home to Jackson since his arrival in the NFL in 2008 but has failed to deny the trade rumors in recent days.

Whether this is the case is unclear but fans of the franchise clearly took it that way.

Alongside over 11,000 'likes' of the image many comments urged the player to stay in Philadelphia and voiced anger at the franchise for thinking about letting go the 2013 Pro Bowler.

With the Patriots and 49ers amongst those rumored to have made inquiries those fans could yet end up disappointed.
