Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba would reject a move back to Stamford Bridge if he wasn't able to extend his playing career.

The Ivorian international has been linked with a move back to Chelsea in recent weeks after returning to the club with Galatasaray on Tuesday.

Jose Mourinho said before this week's Champions League encounter that he thought Drogba had a future at Stamford Bridge - whether it be as a player, coach or ambassador.

However the Daily Telegraph suggest Drogba would turn his back on a return to Chelsea if it meant he would have to hang up his boots.

Drogba, who is out of contract at the end of the season, believes he has it in him to play at least one more season at the top.

The 36-year-old is said to have offers from Serie A giants Juventus, a number of MLS sides and could still choose to renew his contract at Galatasaray.
