WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather appears to be in top condition ahead of his May 3 bout with Marcos Maidana, judging by his latest Instagram video.

The pound-for-pound king posted a short clip of him showing off his incredible jump rope skills inside a boxing ring, which we presume must be located at his gym. Mayweather is renowned for his remarkable footwork, and he shows it off here, proving why he is the 1/16 favourite to beat Maidana at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather also posted the message: "18 years as a professional and I'm still on top, dedicated to my craft. Almost 20 years of HATE & JEALOUSY and I'm still here standing strong with a smile on my face. I don't have to speak on my world titles or my boxing record. Just know that when the book is written, there will be only one TBE."

Despite turning 37 last month, Mayweather believes he is yet to peak as a boxer, even though some have accused the American of ducking a fight with Amir Khan because of the Brit's superior speed.

WBA welterweight champion Maidana, on the other hand, is expected to suffer a comprehensive beating at the hands of Mayweather, despite his surprise win over Adrien Broner in December.

But the South American is confident that he can pull off one of the biggest surprises of modern times by beating the undefeated champ.
