Manchester City are planning to raid Liverpool for star striker Luis Suarez, with a sensational summer swoop.
According to reports the Uruguayan International, who has netted 25 goals for the Reds so far this season, is said to be Manchester City's top target for the coming summer transfer market. Suarez recently penned a new deal to stay at Anfield until 2018, making him highest paid player in the club's history.
However, Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Manchester City's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, has already held initial talks with the striker and his representatives. The 27-year-old is also believed to be a target for Real Madrid and fellow Premier League title contender's Arsenal, who were heavily expected to sign the striker last summer.
Suarez is in the form of his career and has played a huge role throughout the season in Liverpool's quest of lifting the Premier League title. As such reports suggest City will have to spend over £70million for the signature of the former Ajax star, with Champions League football very likely for the Reds next season.
