Michael Vick is due to visit with the New York Jets this weekend, but his representatives have warned that the team may face problems in negotiating with the veteran QB.

Sources have told TMZ Sports that Vick wants to wear the #7 jersey if here were to sign with the Jets. Not only has the quarterback worn the number during his college days at Virginia Tech but also in all 10 professional seasons in the NFL.

However Jets' starting quarterback from 2013, Geno Smith wore Vick's number and will most likely want to hold on to the jersey.

Vick also has his own clothing brand titled 'V7' and the sources close to the situation have said that if the player is denied his old number, the money involved in the deal is set to rise.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is a free agent this season after four years in Philly. Vick was injured in the early stages of last season and was replaced by Nick Foles at quarterback mid-season.

There is no word on how keen either party are to come to an agreement this weekend but it is thought that the New York Jets see Vick as a possible role model and tutor for Geno Smith.
