Football News

The New York Knicks take on the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center later tonight in a game which could see the Eastern Conference franchise record their eighth consecutive victory.

Phil Jackson's new side have been able to string a run of fine performances together after previously struggling to work their way up the Eastern Conference table.

However the New York Knicks are now just one place off of the Eastern Conference playoff places and will be buoyed by the capture of legendary NBA head coach Jackson.

The Philadelphia 76ers on the other hand go into tonight's game on the back of 22 straight defeats.

The 76ers lost by just eight points in their last game against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

The New York Knicks, who beat the 76ers at Madison Square Garden 123-110 11 days ago, will be hoping star player Carmelo Anthony can stretch their run to eight games unbeaten.

Prediction: The New York Knicks will win by a similar to score as what they did at the Garden.
