- Chelsea have finally opened talks over a new one-year contract for captain John Terry in an attempt to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

Terry’s current £150,000-a-week deal is due to expire at the end of the season, and the club are hoping he'll agree to a pay-cut in order to sign an extension.

Tim Sherwood says he will work on his anger management, after losing his cool in a series of incidents in the Tottenham dugout this season.

The Spurs boss is struggling to keep his emotions in check after his promotion at White Hart Lane, and is considering a self-imposed touchline ban for Sunday's visit of Southampton.
