Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur could be heading for a summer transfer tussle as both are reportedly ready to move for Ezequiel Lavezzi.

According to Calciomercato, the Paris Saint-Germain star could be ready to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer and has had offers from the north London neighbours. Both Arsenal and Spurs will be looking to make attacking addition this summers, as both have struggled to produce consistently in that area so far this season.

Lavezzi would add some much-needed quality to either attack, as well as some real flexibility to play either through the middle or out wide. Arsenal are probably most in need of senior attacking options, as the Gunners have Olivier Giroud as their only viable senior centre-forward and they have been over reliant on him.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have two options to call on in attack in the form of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, but neither have failed to fire consistently this season. Soldado cost £26million in the summer but has only managed to find the net six times in the Premier League so far, while Adebayor has fared better, though there is always uncertainty around the Togolese's future.

Lavezzi has not been first choice in the PSG starting XI this season since the arrival of Edinson Cavani from Napoli, also Lavezzi's former club, and there have been reports suggesting he could be on his way out in the summer. Tottenham may struggle to convince Lavezzi to choose them over Arsenal at the moment, as the White Hart Lane club look as though they are going to miss out in Champions League football once again.
