Football News

There's a number of ways you can endear yourself to the Old Trafford faithful, and showing a dislike for Liverpool Football Club is certainly one of them.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been a Manchester United legend ever since his last gasp goal sealed Champions League triumph, and a historic treble, in 1999.

The love Solskjaer gets from the United crowd is clearly appreciated, and replicated, by the Cardiff manager who this weekend took another step towards becoming one of Old Trafford's favourite sons.

Despite hanging up his shooting boots in 2007 Solskjaer will have delighted the red half of Manchester with his answer to a question on Liverpool's title hopes.

It may be that the Norwegian is simply more focused on Cardiff's relegation fight, but we'd like to think his answer is born out of his love for Manchester United.

Hear Solskjaer's views from 2minutes onwards in the video above.
