CM: Yaya Toure v Xavi

Football News

As perhaps Manchester City's most-important player, Toure can appear simply unstoppable when on top of his game.

Although his particularly languid style may occasionally paint the picture of a man who can drift in and out of games, when on the ball he is capable of producing the spectacular.

While many initially thought his major strengths were in performing defensive duties, City look far more potent when he is marauding forward in possession.

For Barcelona, 34-year-old iconic Spanish midfielder Xavi has been the architect of their success for well over a decade.

Who wins?

Former teammate Toure, meanwhile, is at the height of his powers and has scored some truly stunning goals this season. We give him the edge here, with the Premier League going in front once more.
