Oakland Raiders have multiple NFL relocation options

Oakland Raiders could well be set for another relocation in 2015 and it might be to a destination that could take you by surprise.

The Raiders and relocation go hand in hand as the Oakland-based franchise look for yet another move, but it might not be where you think it could be.

Los Angeles seems the most likely destination for the Raiders if and when they decide to part ways with Oakland again.

Some day soon there will be an NFL team playing in LA in what is said to be a super stadium, and having played their before the Raiders do seem like an ideal fit.

Oakland could well make the move in 2015 after their stadium deal expires, but their owner Mark Davis hinted that the franchise may actually decide to relocate elsewhere or even remain put.

For now Davis is hell bent on trying to make things work in Oakland, but he admits that no idea has a closed door and every option is an open book.

"We’re not done in Oakland. We’re trying really hard, and we’ll see how that goes,” Davis told Scott Blair of CSN Bay Area.

“But Los Angeles is something that I’ve definitely thought about and haven’t pursued. There are other places as well. Until we can find out if Oakland is real, then I’m still staying in Oakland. If we can get something done in Oakland, I will stay in Oakland.”

The Raiders secured their future in Oakland for one more season with an extension, but the threat of moving still remains.

“If in fact that can come to fruition, we’ll be a part of that,” Davis added. “If not, then we have to figure out what to do. What we’ve done is sign a one-year extension to our lease and we’ll play (at the Oakland Coliseum) this season. At the end of this season, we have to determine what’s going to happen.”
