Central midfield: Andres Iniesta | Spain (Barcelona)

Football News

Is Andres Iniesta the ultimate big-game player of his generation? There aren’t too many who have stepped up on such a regular basis in the biggest matches than the Spain and Barcelona superstar.

Indeed, it was Iniesta who scored the winning goal in the last World Cup match: the 2010 World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands in Johannesburg.

Iniesta is now four years old and, arguably, an even better player - and if he performs to the best of his abilities in Brazil then Spain will take some stopping this summer.

While he may play in a more advanced position, on the left wing, Iniesta makes the central midfield spot in this predicted Team of the Tournament.
