World Cup 2014: Potential All-Star XI (9)

Right-wing: James Rodriguez | Colombia (AS Monaco)

Football News

In many ways, it’s a shame that James Rodriguez ended up at AS Monaco rather than one of Europe’s biggest clubs when he left Porto last summer.

The Colombia winger is blessed with extraordinary talent - and always managed to produce a few moments of magic when he’s on the pitch.

With Radamel Falcao unlikely to be fit for the start of the World Cup finals, the onus will fall on Rodriguez to inspire Colombia. He’s more than capable of doing just that, especially against Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan in the group stages.

At 22, Rodriguez is guaranteed to become a future mega star.
