Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has urged David Moyes to make a summer move for Ilkay Gundogan over Toni Kroos.

Moyes has been linked with making a move for the aforementioned German duo over the past few months as he is keen on bolstering his midfield options ahead of the start of next season.

The Manchester United boss has been spotted casting his eye over Bayern Munich midfielder Kroos on more than one occasion this season, which has heightened speculation he could launch a bid for the 24-year-old at the end of the season.

Borussia Dortmund's Gundogan, like Kroos, could also leave the Bundesliga in the summer as he has less than two years on his contract.

Gundogan has played just one game for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, which could jeopardise any potential move for him in the summer.

However Neville has taken to Twitter to suggest Manchester United would be a better off signing Gundogan rather than Kroos.

Neville was asked: "From what you have seen of them would you rather us sign Kroos or Gundogan?"

To which the England coach simply replied "Gundogan."

Both players, who are said to be valued at around £20million, are also likely to compete for a starting spot in Germany's starting line-up at this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
