Real Madrid have begun the process of making a colossal €78million bid for Manchester United target Paul Pogba, and are set to be matched by Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Italian website TuttoMercato the Spanish giants are now readying a move for the French starlet, and will pay an astronomical fee to prise him away from Juventus. However, PSG are desperate to land Pogba and will match their European counterparts every step of the way, with chiefs at the Parc des Princes determined to take him to France.
Recent speculation had concluded that the 21-year-old would be staying put in Turin past this summer’s transfer window, as Antonio Conte is keen to keep his high-flying Juve squad together. Regardless of his intentions though Madrid seem hell-bent on mounting a strong campaign to secure the services of Pogba, and could part with the aforementioned €78million fee in order to seal the deal.
Of course there’s also strong interest coming from the Premier League, in the form of the youngster’s old club. Rumours insist that United boss David Moyes continues to see Pogba as a feasible target for the summer market, but whether or not his club will be willing to go head to head financially with the likes of Madrid and PSG is another matter entirely.
