The absence of  WWE superstar Daniel Bryan from Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn last night appeared to upset fans, according to reports.

WrestlingInc.com claims that Bryan was advertised to appear in the dark main event on the show.

They also state that the WWE said he was scheduled to appear on Raw during Smackdown on Friday night and that the 32-year-old was even advertised on the pre-show segment on Monday.

32-year-old Bryan - real name Bryan Danielson - is one of the biggest superstars that the WWE currently has to offer and, as well as being part of a rather intriguing and eventful storyline involving company stalwart Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, he is also set to play a big part in Wrestlemania XXX next month.

In the event, which is scheduled to take place Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 6 2014, Bryan is set to go one-on-one with Triple H in a match where the winner is set to be added to the main event - a battle between Batista and Randy Orton for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

WWE fans, were you disappointed that Bryan did not show up on Raw? Should he have?
