Borussia Dortmund want to bring Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches to the Bundesliga this summer, according to talkSPORT

Chiriches, who only joined the north London outfit this past summer, has struggled with life in the Premier League and could now make a move to Germany in the next transfer window.

It appears that Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to make a move for the Spurs defender, but will have to pay up to £7 million in order to secure his services.

And this could come as good news for Manchester United, as Chiriches is in line to replace Mats Hummels, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League champions.

Both Manchester United and Spanish giants Barcelona have been credited with interest in the Dortmund centre-back in recent time and it remains to be seen as to whether either club make a move for the highly rated German star.

Manchester United boss David Moyes is expected to make a number of signings in the summer window, with defensive additions appearing a priority.

The Red Devils are set to lose captain Nemanja Vidic, with the futures of Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand far from certain.
