A Manchester United fan has labelled under-fire Red Devils boss David Moyes 'the biggest fool in Manchester'.

The supporter, known as Mr Tate, vented his anger after Manchester United's embarrassing 3-0 defeat against arch-rivals Manchester City.

Speaking to YouTube channel FullTimeDevils moments after the final whistle, Mr Tate questioned Manchester United's decision to appoint Moyes.

The fan barked: "Tactically we were again backwards.

"The second goal went in and he was again sulking in his chair. The only good one tonight was Wayne Rooney.

"He's on a six-year contract, he's best mates with Fergie, the Glazers know nothing about football but eventually it will be a financial decision.

"Next Tuesday - April Fool's Day - he is the biggest fool in Manchester.

"You have lost the fans tonight. You don't deserve anything from this club.

"You got the job on a technicality from a legend who recommended you. You are nothing, you are a fool and you are a waste of time. Goodnight."

A selection of Manchester United fans reportedly heckled Moyes during the game and stewards were forced into standing by 'The Chosen One' banner that is erected at Old Trafford incase fans tried to bring it down.

Moyes will be under severe pressure to restore some pride against Bayern Munich next Tuesday - where Manchester United will be battling it out to claim a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
