Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale fall out after Madrid defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were involved in a bust-up last night during Real Madrid's shock 2-1 defeat against Sevilla.

Los Blanocs slumped to the damaging defeat thanks to two strikes from Carlos Bacca which leaves them three points adrift of rivals Atletico Madrid who top the table, and two points off Barcelona in second place.

Chasing a valuable point in extra time, Bale opted to take a free-kick which he blazed over the bar instead of leaving it for Ronaldo - which earned him a volley of abuse from the Portuguese superstar.

Bale is also likely to have irked Ronaldo by spending time changing his boots when Sevilla scored their winner in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo had earlier put his side ahead with a deflected free-kick which took his tally to 27 for the season.

However Bacca levelled things up, before an inspired piece of play from Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic teed up the Colombian for his second.

That means Real Madrid have now lost two on the spin following their defeat against Barcelona in El Clasico at the Bernabeu on Sunday.
