Tim Tebow and Richard Sherman root for colleges at March Madness

NFL star, Richard Sherman and former Heisman winner Tim Tebow are ready to cheer on their Alma Mater's at March Madness this week as Sherman lands in Memphis.

Sherman posted a picture on his Instagram account today showing him standing next to a airplane with the caption: "Got to Memphis in style thanks to @timtebow ....I owe you!!! Now I get to watch my boys in person!"

The Seahawks' cornerback former college, Stanford are set to take on surprise package Dayton in the Sweet 16 round tonight for a place in the next stage of the tournament.

It is not clear if Tebow will be joining Sherman in Tennessee for the action, but his former college Florida will also be in action when they take on UCLA later on Thursday night.

Florida are the number one seed in the South region and would be favorites to meet Stanford in the Elite Eight round, a scenario that both men would obviously be rooting for.

The two appear to be friendly, despite no longer playing in the same league. They were pictured during in New York earlier this year with their brothers.

Sherman is a newly crowned Super Bowl champion and has cemented himself as one of the premier cornerbacks in the league but Tim Tebow has not managed to secure himself a job with an NFL team since being replaced by the New England Patriots last summer.

Tebow now works for the SEC network as an analyst.
