Paul Pierce has said that "No one on the planet can guard him" about former teammate Al Jefferson who is now with the Charlotte Bobcats.
Pierce was quoted as saying: "No one on the planet can guard him, It's so surprising he didn't make the All-Star team or MVP discussion."
Extremely high praise for Jefferson who was a former teammate of Pierce in Boston, they have both moved on since then, Pierce to the Nets and Jefferson to the Bobcats, and now both play for teams who may be playoff bound in the Eastern Conference.
The interesting footnote to this story is that the Nets may in fact meet the Bobcats in the post season, however unlikely it may seem, then the theory Pierce put forth about Jefferson being unguardable could really be put to the test.
Jefferson is currently averaging 21.6 points per game along with 10.5 rebounds and has been lauded as the driving force behind the Charlotte Bobcats revival.
If the Bobcats do in fact make the playoffs, praise for the 6 ft 10 center will increase and many media personal will be calling for Jefferson to make one of the All-NBA squads come the end of the season.
