Inter Milan have made Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko their number one striker target.

Italian side Inter Milan have been linked with making a summer move for Fernando Torres, however reports suggest the Serie A giants have now switched their attention to Dzeko.

Goal suggest Inter Milan are hoping to tie up a deal for Dzeko before he represents Bosnia at the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

Inter Milan are looking to spend up to £15million for Dzeko, however Manchester City will demand £18million for the former Wolfsburg star.

Piero Ausilio, who is responsible for recruiting new players at the San Siro, has already contacted Txiki Begiristain regarding the possibility of signing Dzeko.

Inter Milan are looking to bolster their options ahead of next season as Walter Mazzarri's side have fallen behind the likes of Juventus, Roma and Napoli.

Dzeko is seen as the better option for Inter Milan as the 28-year-old has scored 22 goals so far this season, whereas Torres has netted just nine goals in 32 games.
