The New York Knicks could hire another Jackson at the end of the season as Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson is reportedly keen on taking over the reins at Madison Square Garden.

Former New York Knicks point guard Jackson has been linked with a move away from the Oracle Arena - despite having worked wonders at Golden State Warriors.

His side look set to seal a place in the playoffs as the Western Conference franchise are currently in sixth spot.

However Jackson could be shown the door at the end of the campaign as reports suggest he has 'worn out his welcome'.

Jackson has been tipped to leave the Golden State Warriors if he fails to steer his side to the second round of the playoffs - leaving him free to join the New York Knicks.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson is expected to ring the changes at Madison Square Garden - with Mike Woodson rumoured to be on his way out of the Eastern Conference franchise.
