Manchester United manager David Moyes will name Phil Jones at full-back and Marouane Fellaini in an advanced midfield role for tonight's Champions League quarter-final first leg showdown against Bayern Munich, according to Daily Telegraph journalist Rob Smyth.

Moyes has a number of selection dilemmas prompted by a combination of injury and suspension, with Patrice Evra unavailable and Rafael struggling for full fitness in important full-back positions.

United also can't use club-record signing Juan Mata in the Champions League this season due to prior participation with Chelsea, which it was thought would pave the way for Shinji Kagawa to make his mark against former foes Bayern tonight.

Daily Telegraph reports indicate otherwise though, with Fellaini to just sit ahead of Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs in a main supporting role for Wayne Rooney.

Phil Jones and Alexander Buttner will reportedly deputise for Evra and Rafael, with the experience of Rio Ferndinand and Nemanja Vidic preferred in central defence.

Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck are thought to have been favoured out wide due to their work-rate, which will be needed in bundles this evening against the Champions League holders, who have scored in their last 49 consecutive matches across all competitions.

Manchester United leaked team sheet:  De Gea; Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Buttner; Carrick, Giggs; Valencia, Fellaini, Welbeck; Rooney
