Aston Villa announce USA pre-season tour

Aston Villa have joined the list of Premier League teams set to embark on USA tours this summer, the Associated Press reports.

The AP says: "The English Premier League club will face FC Dallas on July 23 in Frisco, Texas, then play at the Houston Dynamo three days later."

Paul Lambert's Villa side currently lie in 12th position in the Premier League, and are likely to use the post-World Cup fixtures as a chance to build up to the 2014-15 campaign.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal have already announced that they will tour the country this summer as well.

Both FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo have made strong starts to the MLS season, Dynamo have two wins and a loss through three games. Meanwhile, Dallas lead the Western Conference with three wins and a draw.

United had previously announced a tour of the country which will coincide with the 2014 Guiness International Champions Cup. Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all set to join David Moyes side in the preseason tournament.
