Former Denver Bronco, Champ Bailey, looks set to join the New Orleans Saints, according to reports.

The free agent, who spent the past decade with the Broncos and went to the Super Bowl with them, was in town to case his potential new team.

His visit was confirmed thanks to an Instagram picture from Saints CB Keenan Lewis.

Bailey has been on and off with injuries for the past few years but his veteran status, along with probably hall of fame entry, is undoubted.

The Saints are looking to sure up their secondary having already signed safety Jarius Byrd and now look set to add the 12-time Pro Bowl cornerback to their roster.

At the moment there are no details on contracts or money. But given that Bailey is 35 and has a history of injury, you have to believe the deal will be short term and for a relatively small guaranteed amount. Possibly one year with $500,000 guaranteed, I speculate.

The Saints are unlucky with injuries at the moment CB Patrick Robinson getting a season long knee injury during the 2013 off season and Jabari Greer had a career ending injury last year.
