As reported yesterday, the deal for DeSean Jackson with the Washington Redskins has now been confirmed by Jackson via Twitter.
The Redskins will take on the former Philadelphia Eagles WR on a three-year deal.
Jackson tweeted a picture of the news ticker from ESPN showing the breaking news of his deal and claiming he was now "burgundy and gold"
ESPN's Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter have both confirmed that whilst San Francisco were trying to make a late push, it was only ever going to be Washington that got the signature.
So there will be no trips at all to the Bay area for Jackson, who became a free agent on Friday after being cut by the Eagles.
Earlier in the the day, Washington Redskins QB RGIII was shown in a Twitter picture boxing his friend, current free agent Ike Williams, jokingly using it as a parable for the fight to get Jackson signed up.
