Washington Redskins made a huge free agency signing this week as they acquired talented wide-receiver DeSean Jackson, but learning that Kevin Durant helped them may come as a shock to most fans.

Durant plays in the NBA for the high-flying Oklahoma City Thunder and is favorite to get the league's MVP, but he's now seemingly an NFL recruiter for the Redskins.

A well known fan of the Skins, as the photo above shows, Durant has been understood to have contacted Jackson via several different avenues to make sure he committed to the capital.

Washington are well known for having famous fans, and it seems that this one in particular has helped them in ways they never could have predicted.

Now the majority of us will have seen the simple tweet that Durant sent Jackson's way April 2nd in which he said, "@DeseanJackson10 come on home bro! You belong here! #HTTR!!!
#redskins #RGIII to #Jaccpot! #Shwagggggg."

But the wide-out Jackson revealed to the press that Durant's contact went even further than that.

"Another influence was my boy Durant. Kevin Durant been calling me, he been calling and saying man you know how I’d go crazy for you to be in D.C," he told the Washington Post

"I mean, what better place is there for me to be? I’m happy to be here. I’m glad, man, honestly I can say that.”
