The St. Louis Rams may well have locked their first round draft pick already, according to NFL.com.
And his name is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
The Alabama safety has been a name rising up draft boards in recent weeks and Daniel Jeremiah revealed today that "several personnel guys" told him that they would be very surprised if they passed on Clinton-Dix with their number 13 pick in May.
The Rams are facing some fairly impressive offensive talents in the AFC West next year and many have cited the need for a new safety if they are to compete for a place at the top of the division.
Alabama have long been known for producing impressive defensive talent, and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher clearly feels like they have done it again in the form of Clinton-Dix.
The player finished his final season with the Crimson Tide with 62 total tackles and two interceptions for 24 yards.
Clinton-Dix could of course be taken before the Rams come on the clock in Radio City, but it seems for now at least there is a strong chance they will take him if he drops that far.
