Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice showed his toughness on Thursday night during the teams match with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Still in the first period of the match, the puck took an unfortunate path- for Maurice anyway as it flew towards the Jets bench, conking the Winnipeg coach on the forehead.

After some treatment to a fairly nasty gash in the middle of his head, Maurice stayed on the bench to try and guide his team to victory.

It wasn't to be however as the Winnipeg goal wasn't as difficult to breach as Maurice's head was as they crashed to a 4-2 loss
