Atletico Madrid could make a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer - should they miss out on Thibaut Courtois, according to The Daily Mail.

Courtois - who is also on the books of the Stamford Bridge outfit - has been on loan at the La Liga giants for the last three years, however it now appears that he could be recalled by Blues boss Jose Mourinho this summer.

And, if the 'Special One' does bring Courtois back to the Bridge, then Atletico could make a move for Chelsea's current No.1 Petr Cech.

Cech has been a main stay in the Chelsea team over many years, however it remains to be seen as to which goalkeeper Mourinho will make his first choice in the next campaign.

Courtois is one of the most highly rated 'keepers in the world and has had a fine season, having played a key role in Atletico's success in the Champions League and La Liga.

With Cech now entering the twilight years of his career, Mourinho could opt for youth as he targets long term success with Chelsea.

For now though, Chelsea's immediate attention will turn to their Champions League quarter-final second leg with Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow night.

Cech is expected to start in between the sticks as the Blues look to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit against their French opposition.
