Bayern Munich have announced that United States international, Julian Green has suffered a partially dislocated shoulder whilst on international duty.
Green, 18, made his debut in a 2-2 draw with Mexico earlier this month but it has now been revealed that the youngster did not make it through the fixture unscathed.
A Bayern press officer revealed: “Julian has a shoulder dislocation. He is doing a little rehab, but mostly he will need to rest for about three weeks.”
The American starlet has made an encouraging start to his fledgling career, recording 15 goals and eight assists for Bayern Munich II this year.
He has committed his future to the United States national team despite also being eligible to play for Germany.
It was thought that Green would be able to push for a spot in the United States squad for the World Cup this summer, however this latest injury may prove difficult to overcome.
