The WWE have held some brutal matches over the years, with Hell in a Cell and The Elimination Chamber at the top of that list, but now they could bring back one of the most brutal matches in wrestling history.
The infamous War Games match hasn't been seen in professional wrestling in over a decade and traditionally sees two rings inside a steel cage and much like the Elimination chamber, two teams enter one by one until everyone is involved and the brutality can begin.
There is no pin-fall or submission in War Games, the only way to win is to beat your opponent unconscious or have them surrender.
The idea for a War Games match has been pitched many times but Vince McMahon always shoots it down, even though next months pay-per-view would be the perfect time as all matches will be under the Extreme rules banner.
If the match did go ahead next month it would see Kane and Evolution face Daniel Bryan and The Shield because the match is traditionally for eight men.
The match itself is bloody and brutal and the PG era forbids wrestlers from bleeding on TV, which could prove a problem since it's against steel for the entire match.
The final problem with it is finding an arena big enough for two rings and a steel cage when the current venue ( The OZID Centre in New Jersey) isn't big enough to accommodate this.
The last time a War games match happened was back in 1997 when The NWO defeated The Four Horseman and the match was ended after one of the members asked for the bell to stop further punishment.
