German football legend Lothar Matthaus has once again repeated his claim that Arsenal will sign Josip Drmic for £8m this summer.

In an interview with Bild as reported by the Daily Express, the former-Bayern Munich defender said that Arsene Wenger will bring the highly-rated Nurnberg striker to the Emirates Stadium for £12m less than the Bundesliga club initially looked for.

Nurnberg had wanted £20m for the forward, but Matthaus believes Arsenal will clinch the signing for £8m following Drmic's admission that he's "dreaming" of joining the north London club.

Matthaus bases his transfer credibility on his previous correct predictions, having said that Robert Lewandowski would join Bayern Munich and Adrian Ramos would leave Hertha Berlin to sign for Borussia Dortmund.

Both of these transfers have been agreed - and Matthaus believes Drmic is next.

"You will see Drmic will go to Arsenal for £8m - I was right before and I'll be right again," said Matthaus.

The 21-year-old forward only joined Nurnberg last year, signing from Swiss side FC Zurich. And he's scored at an impressive rate in his first season in Germany, bagging 16 goals in 27 appearances in the Bundesliga so far.
