As if Mike Ashley didn't already have enough money, he recently sold a 4.2% stake in Sports Direct - the company he founded - to Goldman Sachs for a cool £223m.

That should make up for the £73m bonus package that was cruelly denied to him by his fellow shareholders just last week.

His time in charge of Newcastle has been no less controversial. Not least when he hired Joe Kinnear as a director of football only to realise that he was in fact completely bonkers before relieving him of his duties under a year later.
