Joel Embiid is off to the NBA after just one season at Kansas.
The seven-footer from Cameroon was the Big XII Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks, to go along with 11.2 point per game.
Embiid joins teammate, and fellow international player, Andrew Wiggins in the draft pool of early entrants, and both are expected to be top three picks.
Embiid recently said he would love to play in Los Angeles, and the Lakers could certainly use the help.
The Lakers currently have the sixth worst record in the league, and if that holds, would only have a 6 percent chance of winning the draft lottery.
